Our wireless Internet access
(WLAN / Wi-Fi network b&g) is free of charge for our camping
guests!
In principle, the whole campsite is covered, however, there can be
differences between the various notebook models
(Because
it is a two-way communication, the notebook must guarantee the
communication to the base antenna as well).
It could be an
additional obstacle if you are in a well-shielded trailer or camper.
Please note, that the communication is encrypted with WPA-PSK,
password for access are available at the reception.
In
practice, external USB wireless adapters are well proven. Beside, if
these adapters
are connected to the computer by using an USB
extension cable, the wireless adapter can be placed,
in a
favorable place in order to have an impeccable communication, for
example: behind a window in the line of sight of the base station
antenna.
In this configuration the notebook's built-in Wi-Fi adapter
can be switched off.
Wireless Internet access is ideal for
guests who:
- stay in contact with friends and relatives and
possibly want to send photos directly from their holidays
- want
to inform them selfs about the current cultural and/or sport
events in the Engadine and possibly
enroll directly (see our list
of usefull
links)
- to keep informed about
the road conditions, Alpine passes, cross-country trails, ski sloops
and weather forecast
- want to plan trips
- as Long-term
travelers plan their next journey
- have to check their e-mails for professional reasons
etc.
